There are over 40mm women in India who could benefit from having access to a platform that helps them through some of the biggest life-changing events in life. Only 5%-10% of this segment has been penetrated so far and there's still a mountain to go on this one.
As Business Development Lead, your role is to understand the Target Segment, their needs and pain points and match them with solutions being offered by Brands that cater to our segment. Every brand offers a USP for their customer and you should understand the Brand's USP, its history and its product offerings.
Baby Destination's Business Development KRAs are as follows :
- Client Acquisition
- Client Success
- Client Retention
Key Responsibilities include :
Client Acquisition :
- Identify new brands focused on the target segment of the Baby Destination and develop and maintain commercially productive relationships.
- Setup up meetings to understand client objectives and brief Clients regarding solutions offered by Baby Destination to meet client Objectives.
- Create concise and value driven business proposals with focus on converting leads into customers.
Client Success :
- Create and Share final value based proposals with internal team and setup an execution plan.
- Proactively manage client deliverables by working closely with internal team.
- Manage and review all client reporting metrics with the internal team.
Client Retention :
- Provide campaign insights to clients. Identify gaps and mitigating factors.
- Show metrics that track ROI for client's objectives through reports.
- Ensure quality in result, manage relationships through on-going relationship building.
Brand Solutions :
- Designing and Implementing key Brand Solutions for advertisers-
- Creating solutions for FMCG Brands focused on products for both Child & Maternity and across online channels-
- Innovate strategies for product integration and provide end to end marketing solution-
- Conceptualize ideas to marry brand and content
- Provided exceptional level of customer service and account management
Marketing solutions tailored around :
- New Product Launch, Brand Awareness
- Brand communications and program launches
- Lead generation and sales conversion.
- Consumer Insights
- Product Sampling
- Activations in school, playschool, summer camps, activity centers etc.
Your work experience:
- Prior work experience in business development for online platform, preferably for parenting/content/digital community platform.
- A solid track record of client conversion and success for consumer products, preferably in Parenting centric segments.
- Must be able to own a customer relationship and deliver on it.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, communication excellence in both speaking and writing.
- Strong business acumen to understand client's business and needs.
- Attention to details, ability to negotiate a win-win
- You must be relationship builder and passionate about exceeding your deliverables to clients.
MBA in sales and marketing.
Comp: Fixed plus Incentive. ESOP based on performance.
Travel: Must be comfortable traveling to client sites locally and within India.
Reimbursements: Business Travel, Monthly Phone.
