As a community engagement strategist, you will be ensuring that thousands of youth become part of our collective, providing them with a platform that will transform their lives through the expansion of critical skills and career opportunities. This will be central to achieving our outstanding vision of enabling under-resourced youth to rise above their existing conditions of poverty.

What you will have to do:
You will be responsible for building and sustaining Green Batti’s community mobilisation strategy across the city of Mumbai (with the growth potential to handle more cities in the future!). Getting 2000 youth onboard every 4 months will require you to think critically, creatively and strategically- all at one!
This will include strategizing and creating a wide network of organisations, individuals, volunteers and community leaders who support Green Batti’s mission. You will be responsible for creating and delivering a powerful narrative about Green Batti’s theory of change, that will inspire youth from under-resourced communities to join our movement for upwards socioeconomic mobility. This engagement will involve bringing about mindset shifts as we seek to positively turn around the status of large scale unemployment amongst youth.
Through your built strategies and engagement, you will also play a key role in continuously informing the team of real, ground level needs that will further help us improve quality of content of the workshops and mentoring programs. You will also help us better understand the career aspirations of the youth and work closely with our business development manager to ensure that the youth are able to meet their aspirations! You will have a lean team of fieldworkers working with you for all coordination and communication with the youth and therefore, providing direction and vision to your team will be part of your role. You will also put into place an exceptional system for data administration of our youth and be diligent about these processes.
You will, on a continuous basis, monitor the mobilisation strategies and processes and thereby ensure that the company is consistently evolving to even greater heights! Rest assured, there is immense growth potential that comes with this role and we will be happy to work with you to chart out your annual plans within the company.
